Suffolk Family Carers

Social Clubs and Friendship Groups PDF Print E-mail

Social Clubs and Friendship Groups pictureWe recognise that many young carers value opportunities to meet up with other young carers on a regular basis.

We have clubs that meet once a month in Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft, and we run a senior and junior club in Ipswich. Our clubs are well-equipped and have games, art and craft activities. If young carers just want to chill out, that’s fine too!

We run smaller friendship groups in areas where there are smaller numbers of young carers, such as Sudbury and Woodbridge, and as part of Outreach projects running in rural areas of Suffolk.

Visit our What’s On calendar for details of times when these clubs are running.

Attendance to clubs is by invitation, and we need consent forms for all clubs and activities from parents. Young carers over 16 can sign their own consent form, but we still need emergency contact details.

Contact us if you want to find out more about our social clubs and friendship groups.
